I thought about Longnose gar and Muskellunge but they are actually pretty big ( 1m30 for the Muskellunge).

I would want to hear you if you know some of predators living in Canada.

predators for your tank...?

or the coolest predators out there?

How big of a tank are you going to have? You guys have Burbot, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass for a big tanks and Sculpins, Sticklebacks,Alaska Blackfish and Mummichogs for a small tanks. In the southern areas of Cananda you have goldeneyes,Mooneyes,Rock Bass and Pumpkinseed sunnies along with Grass Pickeral for medium sized tanks. I believe Canada has about 200 species of fish and some would be very hard to keep like Arctic Grayling and Inconnu (although that would be massively cool).

bingo

Pikes are awesome up here. They are in most of the lakes where i live. When i was working in Ft. Mcmurray (up north Alberta) I caught a 23 lb pike. It had the redest fins and was a true beauty. It would of looked truly awesome in a aquarium. I released it though because thats where the river needed it. Could a pike be kept from a small age in say a 8 footer?

i think walleye and pike...but i somewhat think of lake trout

A pike could definitley be kept for a while in an 8ft tank, but would eventually even outgrow that. my biggest pike I ever caught was 36 inches but most of the ones i catch around here are 18-30 inches.

Pike could be kept in a species only tank, only if the 8ft tank was a growout. You would also have to have incredible filtration and oxygenation of the tank. Pike and Lake Trout would be incredible also.....but since he said he didnt have a big enough tank for a Musky I thought it would be out of the question.
