Freshwater Canadian predators?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have 4 yellow perch i caught from a illegally stocked golf course pond, a few guys put some in 5 years ago now the pond is crawling with them. they are very nice fish to watch, i'd deffinatly buy a 55gallon tank or bigger cause swim room is always nice for them.

Yeah I'm thinking 4 of them in a 180G. I was thinking of getting them from a stock farm but found out no one farms them in Alberta just trout .

well here in saskatchewan its illegal to stock them into ponds, i didnt see the harm in removing them from somewhere they arent supposed to be. even though it was illegal that i transported them about 10mins.

Be careful what you say, big brother is watching.........
Grass and redfin pickeral are awesome little predators, but the sculpins are really cool too, and don't need a huge tank. If you want a huge tank, I think there are a few gar species in southern canada, or bowfin, or the pike. It might just be best if you picked something and then we could decide how to house it.
