What is the biggest fresh water crab i can get? or just ones that get ike 6-8 inches wide, pics appreciated!

I'll do a little research but most true FW crabs are quite small, 2-3" across at most, there are some brackish water crabs that get quite a bit larger, look into the Australian mud crab (up to 8 lbs), or the more terrestrial coconut or robber crab (up to 9 lbs).

DAM, i should look into that, have a 8" crab running around my house, takin on my cat haha

Nope, not eight inches, 8 pounds, heheh.

i have a 1-2 pound stone crab

Heres a pic of the robber crab

Eggs are spread into salt water but young come ashore and live until adulthood in burrows, coming out at night to feed. These are land crabs.
