Chaetobranchus flavescens is a type of SA filter feeder. They are rather difficult to find but are totally awesome if you can find them. They are a little tricky to get eating well, but once you do they are golden. Actually I'm pretty sure all of the Chaetobranchus species are filter feeders. Adults range in at right about 12". They aren't fast growers though. Not aggressive at all either, since they mainly have large basket mouths.
If you look at some of my threads in the Photo Lounge for Chaetobranchus you can see some pictures of them. Gorgeous fish.
There's also the Mango Tilapia (Sarotherodon galilaeus galilaeus) which apparently grows to 34cm, so little over a foot,
but does anybody know anything about the flagtail? I'm certain I heard somewhere that they can filter feed, jut can't remember where.

I believe Prochilodus are considered a detritivore. I am not 100%, but I have a Flagtail and it seems that their mouths are designed to scrape stuff off of rocks/wood/substrate. It will eat off the surface and off the bottom, but never goes after food mid-water.
