Does anyone know ho to care for them, what they eat etc
What jellyfish do you speak of. There are not many that i know of, apart from the landlocked population that relies on algae to feed it in a mutual relationship.

Why do you start all these threads? Do you want to make it a sticky?

I start all my threads to attempt to learn new information, the species I am referring to is a originally Japanese species, but was accidentally introduced to the United states and elsewhere, they average about the size of a quarter but can reach a little over 2 inches, if I could find out what they eat , it may be a good tank mate for docile fish such as African knife fish and elephant nose.

Jellyfish need specialised tanks in general so that they do not rupture when knocking into the sides of the tank. And as far as i know they sting anything they come into contact with. Probably not a good idea

I agree with what's stated above, I wouldn't keep jellyfish with anything else beside themselves. Jellys can not control their cnidocytes which means they can't pick and choose to release their stinging barbs. If anything bumps into it they automatically get released. They do require a special tank to leave them suspended in the water column so they don't bump into walls. Recently I've seen round aquarium kits you can buy for them. I hope this helps

FW jellies spend most of their lives as polyps living in the substrate. Conditions have to be perfect for them to develop into medusae and become swimming jellies. In many areas, more than a decade can pass by between sightings of swimming FW jellies.

Thanks guys, this helps, now I have to wait for one to show up again, from what I know our freshwater jellies don't sting people as our skin is to thick
