Freshwater snapper?

That’s a pretty good growth rate, my biggest tank is a 120, but I’ve been eyeballing a 700 at my lfs , someday lol
 
Anybody have any idea on where to purchase these at? From what I understand, they are a pretty common food fish so I wouldn't expect them to be too expensive but who knows. Predatory fins has them for 125 a piece. Add 50 for shipping so that's 175. The shop mentioned in the OP has them for 108 shipped. is 100-175 the normal price for these guys?

Those online prices are much higher than what I have ever paid for two to three inch juveniles at the shops.They were around thirty dollars each at that size.If you can't find them locally you may not do much better than $108.00 shipped.

Yeah, unfortunately I haven't seen any for sale locally. That goes for my LFS's or supermarkets. But I'll continue to check. And thanks for the tip I'll give them a call. Shipped for 108 might be the move to make

If you buy from exoticfishshop, I can vouch for them, I’ve bought several fish from Steve. He has a few YouTube videos as well.
