freshwater snowflake eels?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they need salt water when they get bigger.....

Actually they are a Brackish species, and have yet to be kept in full saltwater I believe, or at least I haven't seem it be done. Only talked about. Which is why I would recommended sticking with brackish, but saltwater may work. Definitely not to be kept in full freshwater.

Usually stay around 13", and eat feeder shrimp, krill, smaller fish, etc.

If you're talking about G. tile a.k.a. FW snowflake, I am currently keeping one in full marine. I had one years ago in very high sg brackish for about 5 years until it died from injury. I keep my current one in SW and find it to be more robust and even active compared to the one I kept in a lower salinity.
