Hmmmnnn... Is it really freshwater? Tempting...

Is this that giant species of fw ray?

How long is its tail? I'm trying to figure out what type of ray it is? Is it a Himantura bleekeri or dasyatis bleekeri?

Dasyatis bleekeri is the older (still accepted) name for Himantura bleekeri. Common name is Bleeker's whiptail ray. This species seems to share the same ability to transition between marine and fresh water. Requires a large well filtered/circulated aquarium since it can reach 41" in length.

NOTE: This genus of rays is NOT on the CA restricted species list.

Thanks! (I was waiting for you to chime in;)). Bump for a "not so rare but not so common" ray.
