Dasyatis bleekeri is the older (still accepted) name for Himantura bleekeri. Common name is Bleeker's whiptail ray. This species seems to share the same ability to transition between marine and fresh water. Requires a large well filtered/circulated aquarium since it can reach 41" in length.


NOTE: This genus of rays is NOT on the CA restricted species list.

oh wow... when i called u and asked watcha got, and u said u got these, i thought they were just atlantic stingrays xD guess not, i didnt realize u meant these until u posted this pic : D looks somewhat better than atlantic ray wit the spots : ) i bet the requirements are about the same though...
