theyre little dinks between 7-10" sitting in a fourty. my cam is terrible at taking pics so i made a vid. its in the movie lounge.

Hey, im getting some trout next weekend probably!
i have a 35Gal (34x16x16) for them to go in until they grow, and i have 2x1000l/ph filters on one end.
I think i may get about 4-5 of them, and if they grow too large i will release them into the river (stocked for trout fishers, catch and release only)
The trout farm asked for $2.50 each, that was a month ago when the trout were small, so now im expecting them to be about 6" and more like $5?
but yeah im stoked!
And do i HAVE to buy a chiller? because the only ones i could find cost over $500 and thats $US too, i can't find any in Aus....

Capo, do you run off a well? if so what is the averagetemp, you could run a continous feed system.

Off a well? no lol.
Im in Aus, in Adelaide suburbia, we dont have wells here, well no where near where i live.
So would that mean i need a chiller? because the trout farm ill get my fish from are only 20 minutes away....meaning they would have the same temp as here, i dunno. Ill see how they go. Its going to become colder here soon anyway, winter is just around the corner.....well 6 months away but still lol.

wow five bucks a piece thats expensive. usually they sell for 2.50 a lb. the fish at the farms are raised in runways correct? if thats the case then the temperture is signifcantly differnt. pretty much every trout farm is located by some sort of stream or river, so they can get a consistant flow of fresh, clean, cold water. a chiller is a very good investment, unless the air temp can keep your tanks at 65 and bellow.
