Also, catfish are predator but they do know which tank mate is food prey and which is not an easy meals, and I'm pretty sure they are not preying on those 18 inches Jardini unless those 2 Jardini already dead or lay motionless at the bottom.

It's a mistake to house 2x jardini in same tank unless it's a mated pair, from this point I would say these 2 jars fight each other and become weak then those cat fishes took an advantage for major damage and finished the 2 jars, other than that we don't know for sure cause we are not the owner, we only know what they told us and that's only 1 way to look at thing

i thought channel cat were super peaceful and clairia gets a bit nasty? I know if it was a asian red tail the same size it would have bitten it in half?

Clarias cats are notorious night stalkers. I'd wager on the clarias being the culprit.

I guess that like arowanas jardinis are also territorial and prefer to stay like a lone beast
But on contrary to this assumption a 4000 Gal is just a lot of room for them
I guess some electrical malfunction or electric leakage caused it

I was just curious because jardini are nasty fish and i didnt think his fish did it but he said they were torn up. There was no issue with the tank. It happened at night. Remember i do not own jardini i am more into smaller monsters like purple wolf, gulpers, things dont get over a foot.
