Deep in exams so been a bit absent from the site but a couple updates:
1. We had a sudden cold snap here in Sydney, was planning on bringing in my fish from outside indoors next week, woke up this morning to 8 degrees. Lost 4 spawns of peacock gudgeons and about 20 or so Melanotaenia goldei. On the plus side I caught a random rainbow from the tub for my peacock gudgeons. I haven’t put any eggs in so interesting to see what it is.
2. Lost my indoor colony of M. fluviatillis, luckily still have my outdoor colony. Filter crashed.
3. The small eyed gudgeon is finally eating pellets! Such a relief.
4. I noticed one of my syno Occellifers is getting pretty chunky. Could it be eggs? The other syno is a pretty normal size. The larger syno has been excavating the back corner of the tank. Nests?
