They seem to really enjoy them and are actually giving the Wolves some competition...... :naughty:

Reminds me of when I gave mine a baby mouse.

Very cool. Probably decent nutrition wise as well. I'm trying to live through you, Don, Keep, etc so I don't have to go buy a few armies.

My buddy here at work has a huge yard and egress windows, so I do him the solid of frog removal, in turn I keep the frogs. :)

I did a good deal of research when I got into Wolves and frogs are a great source of nutrition for them. So I take flake food and gut load crickets, feed the crickets, worms, meal/super worms to the frogs, then the frogs go to the fish.

I think the cloudy eye is gone now. I think this was one of the smaller Armatus. The 2 smaller ones are having a bit of a tough time as right now they are the low guys on the predatory totem pole. Seems as the bigger Armatus gets feistier with the rest of the tank they seem to return the favor to the smaller Armatus.

As far as size I think the smaller ones are 11-12" The big guy is probably 14-15" and getting pretty thick. Attitudes getting bolder, but still seems to respect the Wolves.

I've thought about mice before as they are commonly fed to Wolves, but haven't tried it yet. The thought of a mouse biting a fish's eye is kind of bothersome, but I suppose if they're not having any trouble with full grown leopard frogs maybe they're big enough for some small rodents.

I've had a common wolf that ate a few mice that fell into the tank during the night some years ago and it was messy so I won't use them but I have used little pinky mice as a treat for my armatus.

Used to do the same wayyyy back when I had Oscars. Had a small mouse colony for my monitors at the time and the question of "what if" came up.... Turns out they liked them. lol

Makes you wonder what kind of fuzzy creatures full grown Wolves are capable of making lunch...... My neighbor does have a really yippy lil dog..... Haha

oh come on they are well worth it :)

I don't doubt they are.... but my dorado is hyper aggressive at times. I think the time to get a few armatus and grow them out has come and gone. Dorado is 10-11" and growing fast. Adding smaller armies would be an issue. So unless you want to move your big guy, I'll continue to look at pics :)
