Very much south..
Guys, I got a deal on a load of small african frogs ( tottally aquatic frogs that one finds quite often in LFS's ).. Now my idea is to use them for occasional feedings of the aro's.

Anything I should be aware of? Toxicity? Anything?

Thank you:)

would you know the scientific name of those frogs, by any chance?

the african dwarf frogs should be fine. I feed them to my bichir as do other people on this forum. just make sure that they are not the african clawed frog which does have claws on it's forelimbs and can scratch at your fish.

From what I've seen, being white, they must be the big Xenopus, the clawed ones....should I refrain from using them? they're small.. the aro's are big..

I personally wouldn't risk it since they have claws and can thrash around inside the aro's mouth. but again that's just my personal opinion.

Now you really gave me ground to pause.....thought they'd die at the firts bite/gulp....

if you plan on feeding the frogs to them you can always cut there front legs off
