i would go with a common american bullfrog they get big and their bite is not bad plus you can get albino ones... why dont you get a tadpole and teach your daughter the growth cycle it will keep her very interested in animal keeping......
Go for a whites. I've got two, very nice frogs, very friendly, dont mind being handled, and get to about fist size

White's are great frogs, but try to get a captive bred one the wild caught ones don't tend to do very well. Have you considered a toad? They tolerate handling better, just insist on hand washing because toads carry mild toxins. (however, stear clear of marine toads they can be deadly to young children and pets.)

another good choise would be chubby frog they get large but they cant take your finger off. my pac man did some damage to a couple of my digits
