Fronts are rare that young fish get better color than old fish. Fronts are brightly blue at yound age. As they grow old, the dark bands get wider and wider and eventually cover the entire body transformaing the fish into a black swan. The lack of color in old age is compensated by more artistic body form: big hump and long, flowing fins.
