hello everybody im pretty new to this site and im filled with all kinds of questions my first one is i currently have 7 frontosa(all from different stores) the biggest is about 4 inches i have them in a 60 gallon right now but july 7th my birthday im getting either a 125 or 210 fish tank would a 125 be big enough for 7 fronts? next qustion is it possible if i get the 210 to mix on a baby arowana with my fronts? or will there be aggression issues? thanks all - anthony

get the 210 if you want a aro.... i have kept frontosa with aros dats gars and stingrays all mixed in the same tank....

I have 9 moba, 2 tigrinus , and a jardini arowana in a 240 gal. They seem to be doing good as long as fronts are bigger then aro. just make sure all of them are able to eat when you feed. The only problem i got is the 2 tigrinus. they fight each other all the time but they don't bother the other fishes. I think you should get the 210 gal cuz its easier to maintain when you have a community of fishes.

good choose.

IMO Fronts just look don't fit well with an aro. I'm not against mixing fish from different areas, but it just doesn't seem to look right to me. You could make it work for a while, but the aro will grow much much faster than the fronts.

hmm now im having second thoughts, my fronts are my number 1 priority and i wanna breed someday i also really love black rhom pirhana but i dont think these 2 species would get along lol

If your fronts are your prime priority i would make it into a gorgeous frontosa tank that would knock your socks off beautiful.. especially since you can possibly get the larger size tank for your colony...lots of caves and nooks and crannys...no sharp edges.. sand that they have in their natural environment....nothing is as beautiful as a frontosa tank set up just for a colony of frontosa.. i think the arow would get skiddish and it would make it difficult to clean the tank properly..i have only a synodontis and pleco in with my arow .. he would go straight out the top if and when i had to change the decor etc for the growing fronts for an example..and then you may have to move fish often ..if they grow up to be more males..arows do not like alot of fishkeepers activity and with breeding fronts there will always be alot of intervention from you..
