Frontosa Burundi tankmates?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes. They will grow a lot faster than your frontosas though
Yes, ok. Will Striped Raphael Catfish work, with the frontosas too? I'm thinking 3 Frontosas, 1 male 2 females, my 3 synodontis catfish (1 Eupterus, 1 hybrid and then one unidentified) 2 Palmas bichirs (Dont know wich Palmas, or maybe even delhezi) 2 - 4 Striped Raphael Catfish. My filtration would be 1 FX5, would i be overstocked? I'd probaly have some driftwood and rocks in the tank, no plants.

Raphael cats go great with fronts in my experience.

Do you guys know how meny inches, or centimeters of sand i need?

Depends on how many inches long your tank is. For example a 48in tank would require 48 inches of sand. Just kidding with freshwater fish its better to keep a shallow sand bed, as it does not have benefits like a saltwater tank. I usually just do whatever is visually appealing (.5 - 2").

Am i overstocked? Do you know how big a raphael catfish needs to be, before a frontosa cant eat it?

As long as the fronts aren't like 10 inches and the raphaels 1 inchers, you should be ok. It depend on what size fronts you are starting off with and then the raphaels can be maybe 1/4 to 1/3 smaller/ So 6 inch frontosa should not imo bother a 2 inch raphael. But i would try to get the raphaels at around 4 inches...they grown kinda slow.
