Hey well I will chime in too. I would agree with 6-8 for that tank in total. I would buy them in a big group (15 or so) as fry and grow them out =] Then you can weed out the ones you dont like. Get your 2 males and have your females. Then to keep the gene pool mixed up if you plan on breeding - find a breeder or someone with the same type with males and try to do a trade so that there is not interbreeding. I have a 150gal tank and prob. wouldnt keep anymore then 2 males. Hopefully trading my 150 with the bf for his 180gal whenever we move out. When they breed you want less males b/c of dominace and you dont want them all ripping up eachother over a small amount of females.
