So have been day dreaming about a nice 6 foot front tank either a 180 or 215 (tall 180), running a planted fuge for filtration. My question is, how many fully grown fronts could I fit in a 2x2.5x6" 215 vs a 2x2x6' 180? Also how many of you think its worth it to drop the big loot for the wild caught Moba's?

The extra height would do you no good for fronts IMO. Foot print is what matters. And yes, any of the zaire varients (moba, kitumba, tembwe, etc) are well worth the extra up front cost. I find them much more appealing and their fry still fetch a pretty penny. I have one of the first mobas that were imported in the late 90's/early 2000's and he is the most amazing fish I've owned

Height will not matter... they like to stay on the lower levels of the tank. Footprint is what matters... IMO the best looking fronts are 7-stripe kigomas... and they are true frontosa, not gibberosa... not worth all the hype for all those zaires and mobas IMO. You could fit a nice colony in a 180+. Probably 10+ adults anyways...

Thanks for the input guys, and I like the 7 line fronts but the Moba are just soooo good looking. However given the cost of the fish, I dont think I will stock so heavy and just go for 7 Moba in a 180. So this brings up the question of 2 males with 5 females or 1 male with 6 females?

Also has anyone heard good or bad things about http://www.mosta-frontosa.com/shop/ these guys? Weather you have or have not feel free to suggest a reputable dealer/vendor? I'm takeing my sweet time shoping and exploring all options for this tank got nothing but time.

2 males with 5 females is perfect... depending on the size you get them, you will hafta weed out other sub males. Always get more than you want to end up with...

Height makes absolutely no difference in a Cyphotilapia tank.
get the biggest footprint you can.
In a 6 foot tank i'd go 5-7.
7 foot tank, 7-9.
8 foot tank 8-10.

go to www.houstonfishbox.com and look up a guy named Khrister, he sells moba fry from wc adults and many other fronts that are amazing quality.

he also lives close to austin, tx i believe, and he ships overnight.

there is also a guy with wc mobas who sells f1 fry all the time, his name is ron r. he is also on this site.

also, their is another guy mikeb on this site that lives in beaumont, and he has mobas, wc burundis, mpimbwes and a couple others i think, however i dont know if he ships or not.
