If you plan to breed them regularly you might want to invest in some egg tumblers. that way in case u strip them too earlry you can still hatch them. Or strip earlyu on purpose and hatch them in the tumbler so the female can fatten up sooner and spawn again.

fry will swim out, when placing her back into the tank hold her by the lip and put her in with head facing straight up and slowly do this or air will get stuck in her stomach eventually killing her (3-22 days) very tricky process

thanks for all the tips. what about the one with holding her downface first, if i dont do it this way will she get an air pocket in her that cant be burped out? kinda like puffers?

I've been breeding fronts for over three years and what i do is wait up to 4 weeks or until the sacks have disapered (you find this out by holding her against the tank and opening her mouth to let 1 or 2 out )if the sack is gone from the fry then take them from her by keeping her under water and moving her up and down till they are all out of her,also need to know that the fry should be seperated from the main tank.Once you put her back into the community tank keep an eye on her because the father of the fry's might be upset with her over loseing his baby's.

on the 28 of june it has been 5 weeks and i flushed my female. thanks to all the help everyone, she was holding 20 fry. they are around .75 to 1.0 in long. i found a guy on the web that sells a type of bottle that flushes the fish without letting air in and does it in about 2 seconds. thanks again to everyone for your feedback and info.

Try a tempory tank divider to seperate the others from her while netting the fry, might save a few extras
