Also since I can't find the tetracycline in store, I will purchase it online. I haven't seen whether she's getting better with Maracyn 2, but I'll check with her tonight.
The question I have is IF it's not effective (after 5 days as the instruction stated) shouldI switch the treatment to Tetracycline or repeat the maracyn treatment? Any risk or can it be harmful to her?

if maracyn 2 does not work I would try kanamyacin combined with furan-2, skip the Tetracycline all together as it is not a terribly effective antibiotic in cold blooded creatures

So yesterday was the fifth day of the maraycn2 treatment. I am not really sure if it works, but I think she is getting a little better eventhough I can still see the cloud eye. I decided to do the second treatment of maracyn2, since I can't find the kanamyacin anywhere, I did 80% the water change. Again I still want to know if I need to go to Tetracycline, whom I had 2 people highly recommended but not effective for cold blooded fish as Lipadj46 said, dilemma... dilemma dilemma............. :wall:

At this point I would keep up with the maracyn for a second round as you already have it and keep up on the water changes and see how it goes.

As for tetracycline I have not had an issue using it, it has worked fine for me when I used it for treatment on fish. I wouldn't argue the use of Kanamyacin, it works well, I ve just personally found it harder to get hold of then other meds which I can get easily. If you can get Kanamyacin then go for it, but at this point would just keep up what your using now.

Tetracycline does work, it is just not the most effective (IMO). you do have to order kanamyacin (unless you pay seachem's ridiculous) but it has a long shelf life (years) if kept in a cool dry place. So I have 100g that I bought for $60 that will last me about 4 years. You do not want to keep the maracyns or tetracycline past their shelf life.

Yeah... hope for the best and see what's the outcome.
Right now I'm doing the second round Maracyn2. Yesterday was 2 of the 5 days treatment. I cannot see clearly if she's getting better or heal because she only showed me her good side (the side without the cloudy eye), may be she wants me to think that she's all better and return her back to the main tank lol.........
However, I saw that she still has the cloudy eye when I viewed it from the top. I will update the thread when as things happen, thanks for all the feedback once again

I finished the second round and the fish seems getting better even though I can still some cloudy eye on her. I am already on the third round of Maracyn2, I figured it's better to use all the maracyn2 medication due to its short shelf life. Now the question I have is should I move her into the main tank after I use all the maracyn2? When people say it heals, does it mean that the eye is totally clear no more cloudiness?? Thanks
