hi
just thought I'd add that frontosa's are tanganyikan cichlids
requiring much higher ph than your other tankmates (8.6 ideally)
they will not be happy fish otherwise....display dark colour and sulk in the corner etc...

in the wild they prey on julidichromis spec. or anything they can fit in their mouth but will take most pellet food in the tank.
your fire eel likes much sorfter water so they aren't suitable tankmates (imho)

Thanks for your opinion (and I'm not being sarcastic). I needed a good reason not to get one, and that's good enough. Thanks!

Probably not. I want a 240, but I obviously need more money and space.... So I think I'll just drop the idea unfortunately for the good of the fish.

Wow....... first I read that a female front gets a hump and now a front jumps out of a tank?
I have a front colony in a 180g. I can't remember the last time I saw ANY front go higher than 1/3 the way up the tank.

I have a 120 tall and they will come to the top at times. They swim all over my tank. Now they are not sitting up high, but they will swim that way now and then. If they were spoked they might jump I guess. If you breed burundi long enough I bet you could get a hump in a female and selective breed that.
