Frontosa Tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have a question though could i like get a male now and in a couple of years get the females could i do that or what?

alright i was thinking prolly just the cheapest kind either:
Gibberosa or
Kigoma

and how big can the male get before he will like bully the females and what is the price on a male of about 3-4", do you know?

Oh I don't really know the going rate on that size. You want a large alpha male. Wait til he reaches around 7" then add some 3-4" females and you should be good. Check aquabid.com for the Kigomas. Usually pretty cheap prices.

ya i have found a guy on here that has offered me a sp. North Karilani for $15 but they are unsexable so i asked him if we can wait to sex them and then ill get them for an added price

Good idea to wait for the 6 foot long tank. Mine is in my 58 gal still, only 3 feet long. He has plenty of room, but when he spooks, I sometimes hold my breath. I've got a 5 foot long 110 in the garage for him, but to many other projects this summer.

better start it right..if for breeding purposes get a bigger tank coz they breed in colonys and if you just want a community 75gal is a minimum for me just ,y opinion......

Ya i decided that im getting a either a 125g or 180g with about 4 fronts and 2-3 ornate birchirs in the future so i can have a breeding colony with some awesome fish in it you now im really looking forward to it. another question is it difficult to breed these guys and i was going to get 1 male and 3 females, is that the way to go?
