tank mates? params? Pic of Front? Food? Tank shot to see hiding spaces?

HAHA, I asked the same questions. Orig posted in the SA/CA section.

Also how big is the front?

tankmate is a 3 inch flowerhorn not sure of params as i am at work we have tried feeding bloodworms pellets and earthworms and no pics but there is one log in there that it hides in but it mostly swims around

they paid 25 dollars for it because it got its tail bit off by a clown knife about a month ago

Try a few different foods, they LOVE blackworms. At 5" he may just still be getting used to his new home. Put some more hiding places in there for him and get back to us with the PH and the temp of the water in the tank. Is the FH bullying the front at all? Could be stressing him out. I just added 2 new fronts to my 125 and one took almost a full week to start eating. If it goes on for another 4-5 days I'd start getting worried.

Flowerhorns do not play well with others. How big is the Flowerhorn? Are the pellets sinking?

Are you kidding?? My Fhs play well with others.....as long as they play what he wants:headbang2:ROFL:

You may need to wait a couple of days. Some fish take a bit to get used to their new surroundings. Also keep an eye on the Fh to if he's bein bossy you may need to put a divider in the tank.

I think he said 3", I would keep a close eye on the FH, especially with only 1 hiding place for the front. They are very docile when compared to most cichlids, and get stressed by aggerssors easily.

(On a side note)
My Regal Peacock (5") was testing Bubba (9"Burundi) yesterday, charging him, everytime the peacock would charge Bubba would just open his huge mouth. Well one time the Peacock got too close and Bubba grabbed him by the face! It was SO funny, needless to say I haven't seen the peacock come near him again :D Wish I would have broke out my video cam.
