Hey, I was just wondering if a frontosa could do well in a 4x2x2 tank?
Other tankmates might include a Leichardti aro(until it outgrows the tank) and probably some CL's.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

thats fine is it just going to be a single front or a colony?! Also what variant are you getting, just make sure to have plenty of hides for him/her. Visit www.cyphos.com great information to help you out there.

I was thinking single front, the tank is only 4' long x 2' wide x 2' high.
Not sure what variant, LFS near by has some small babies like 3'' for $35

If you go to that site I posted you can find great fronts at good prices hek you might have a breeder next to you. I had a colony of 12 Kitumbas, but sold them last year.

for its whole life? id recommend at least a 6' tank.
Ok cool.
Well, I'm going to read up some more on the site that was posted.
And if it does infact seem uncomfortable in the tank I can always sell it/give it to a friend with a larger tank...

4' would be fine for a short period of time. If its a male they get up to 15 to 16 inches..

Define what you meen by a short period of time, if you could.

i suggest putting fronts in a front only tank, they eat very slow, in my tanks even the apple snails beat the fronts to food, they also allow themselves to be bullied, i had white labs in with my fronts and 4 inch labs chased around a 6-7 inch male front, i have removed the labs, now working on removing the snails. they can coexist with other fish, but in my experience they are better off by themselves.

Ok thanks for the info.
I might be getting a 180 soon..
I was planning to put the front with a motoro ray, I've seen this combo work so I'm going to try it.
If it doesnt work I can always move the front to another one of my tanks.
