Its true. Once you start to see some of them, you start to recognize them all.

Easy mistake...

They are also known as False Front or Poor mans Front, but the price for them buy me reflects nothing poor about them.

Watch him as he gets older. They have been known to have a nasty streak. What are his tankmates?

i have it in a 55g tank with these guys...crap so i got a poor man's front???:WHOA::cry: lol...its pretty cool though...i guess i wasn't meant to have a front bec i learned later on that it's not a good idea to mix fronts with my kind of cichlids?

Front is not a good idea w/ the Mbuna you have. The Tet. will hold his own if close to size of the others, and is still a very coool fish.

Beautiful fish!

Trets are very cool looking fish and has a better shot at doing well long term in that mbuna tank.So maybe its best.

that's cool...now im glad it's not a front :) ...with the tank i have now, i guess it would have been a headache in the future if it were a frontosa. thanks fellas. thx muske.

the way you tell between the 2 is fronts have a round front the fake fronts have sharper. also for the fake one there is a teal marking near the mouth and the frontosa's dont.

yes you are better off.. and fronts really need a colony... they are not always healthy if kept as a loner... so all around i would say your lucky..
