Would these two species work together? just wondering cause i saw some Geophagus altifrons and they are beautiful:naughty:.
You should try it and let us know...i like to see you do it...

the only problem is with the ph thing. I dont know if i should try or not.

What is the pH of your water? My pH is at 7.5 and I keep WC kitumba frontosas with WC Geo Redhead Tapajos. Both fishes have spawned once for me already. There are alot of people who keep these 2 types together and it works perfectly. My male frontosas are around 11" and the female geo at 5" will bully the male frontosas when he comes near her eggs. I don't think you will have any issues especially if you buy F1 fishes. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

My opinion, you do not mix Tangs and Americans. My Americans have PH around 7 or a little below. My Frontosa's are around 8.5. Different food requirements.

i personally believe the ph issue has been blown out of proportion when it comes to comercially bred fish. if they where wild that would be different story though. if you like the combo, give it a shot.
