I was wondering if it would be a good idea to keep these to fish together. I have a couple of pbass and wanted to add some fronts. I had some fronts a while back but due to space issues had to get rid of them. Now i have the space and i want to keep some in with my pbass. Would this be a good idea? I was told that fronts prefer a high ph but they can live in lower ph. The ph in my tank is around 7.4-7.6. I kept my fronts at this ph before and they seem to have done fine but i only had them for about a year so i dont know how it would have been to keep them in there long term. I have two pbass about 4-5 inches and was thinking of getting some fronts from an lfs that were also about 4-5 inches. So all comments are welcome. Id like to mix them but if its not gonna work out then ill just have to think of something else. All comments are welcome.

IMO I would keep them seperate.
I always kept my Fronnie's Ph around 9.
So trying to keep them at 7.5 IMO would be no good.
The color of the Fronts would be crap and they wouldnt act the same as if they were in Ph 9. IMO anyhoo.

they come from different places and have different water params, so id keep 'em different, but then i have seen that mix

I've always thought at anything over 7 on a pH scale is pretty high. I'm going to be different and say that I would think it would be fine. They both get large and aren't really aggressive.

yea i thought 9 was pretty high. I had fronts in 7.6 ph before and they did fine. Right now i have the pbass in that ph and they are happy and fine so i thought id try mixing them because they are both nice fish and not very aggressive only during feeding.
