OK im getting a 4x16x22 approx 72gal i was wondering how many frontosa's i can put in it?? if any,
thanks

Not many. I'd say 2-3 maybe? Anything else in there with them? Let's see what the experts say, but my experience with frontosas has been that I could never keep more than one. As soon as I had more, they would constantly pick on each other. And real bad...little bastards.

You can keep several if they are small and they do grow slow so a lot depends on how soon you can get a larger tank of 125gal or larger and how big you want to start out with.

If you dont get a larger tank I wouldnt suggest it but I would say maybe two... but I am not a front expert either..do you plan on putting anything else in the tank??

well if i can i would have somthing else, what do you recomend with ONE front?

You can throw anything in there from lake tang. I have some neolamp. sexfacitus<sp?> gold and they are a nice compliment with my fronts.

Can i keep a JD with him, cos i have one already?

depends my JD or w/e seems to be pretty laied back I put him in with my mixed malawi tank and they ended up nipping at my JD alot so I had to move in a dif. tank, do you plan on putting other Africans in?? Also your JD may also pick on your other fish, how big is it? I guess its one of those you never know untill you try it. If you get a front or anything they do grow slow so if you do get a bigger tank in the future I would get more b/c they do better in colonys.I have 4 right now that are in with a ghost knife, a datnoid and a bichard(sp), a small Arowana and some balla sharks and they all are really chill and get along great =) so it works but if you do this you would def. have to get a bigger tank soon.

With the front growing slower than the jd it could also create problems, depending on the size of the fish.

So if i could fine a large front like 6 inches, will it pick on my 2 inch JD??
