I know you guys said fronts work best with only other fronts, but would they pick on 2 royal plecos? If i cant put the plecos in with them im afraid than i will have to sell them.
I have two different royal plecos in with some of my fronts and they are fine together. My watermelon pleco is around 12", and my largest front is around 6".
okay I see the confusion and you are right they are great together. I like to mix fish a little to add different color and size and shapes... I was wondering... I work at a LFS as you know and so many people come in telling me weird things. I had this guy come in a few times and he bought some fronts at another popular store here and the guys there told him to put them in brackish water. That they could need more salt as they age. He lost three and we tried to explain that they are not a saltwater fish or brackish and he refused to believe us...
you can, but personally i wouldnt mix the two just because they come from different water conditions, but i suppose it depends on what pH you decide to keep your fronts at. I'd keep the pH lower to suit your plecs, about neutral would be adaquate for both. How many fronts you getting?
