but what parasites are you referring to and which "land-based proteins'' are you referring to?
this was my initial question:I can answer your question again if you like -Beefheart is the ONLY land based meat I'll use. I try not to use anything that will ruin my water or that fish (in the generic sense) won't encounter in the wild. Cammalanus is a fun parasite to have- Bloat from too much protein is also a great time. Once you get to force feed Epsom to your midevil every night with a turkey baster for a month you get kinda picky as to what you're feeding the aqua pigs.
I still don't really see the answer yetbut what parasites are you referring to and which "land-based proteins'' are you referring to?
yea....uhm, you list ONE species of parasite, and NO land-based proteins it comes from.I'm not really a fan of semantics -or a pointless conversation where I repeat myself. You can re-read the quotes of mine you posted to find all the answers you need.
I found out that the mix I made is actually received really well by my live bearers and my redline grow out. My ranger pleco is also a fan.

I just wanted to debunk your claim, cuz it's 100% inaccurate. Insects and other forms of terrestrial proteins are MUCH less likely to transmit parasites than aquatic or marine organisms. That's why we avoid feederfish and stick to crickets, worms, arthropods, etcI'm really not here to debate with you.(nice de-rail btw) I've already lost this debate years ago to experience and people smarter than me or you. There's plenty of articles on MFK you can peruse. I'm not interested in hearing more of your opinion on it.- Unless you have something useful to add it really comes off as posturing.
you should have said that 2 pages ago. Coulda saved us both a lot of time. Just because i disagreed with you, doesn't mean we don't share the same views and ideas, and it's certainly not a big deal being disagreed with unless you let it be. Just answer the question next time, i didn't appreciate all the snide smart-alecky remarks you kept giving but i didn't let it get to me, i just repeated the question a few times. Surely you are bigger than that.Have you ever seen a foot long worm come out of a dying cricket? I have. Do your own research- I already have. Plus that whole real world experience thing I hold in a higher regard than your un -educated posturing Are we done yet?
I'm sorry I think I'm mostly upset because I shared your views rather fervently as well once. I was wrong. I was proven wrong by people who know how to argue intelligently. I'm sorry I really don't have expertise to hold your hand while you figure it out. Being on the other side of this argument is kind of hilarious but I don't have the patience for it. Bottom line is - I do not mess around anymore when it comes to feeding my fish. If it can be avoided-Why take risks?- Unless I'm breeding them I don't feed live fish either
