Look Into Hikari Gold. It’s a bit more expensive, but when I was growing out my little guys (2 Tems, 4 Orinos, 2 Peru's, and 2 Ocell's) ended up sticking the cubes right in the tank! They were about 3-3.5" at the time. They would all look like piranha eating this floating/sinking cube of blood worms.
What I ended up doing was mashing the Hikari gold in with the blood worms, re-freezing it in a freezer zip lock bag and then break little chunks off and feeding them that way. I just started using less blood worms and more pellets. Then I just stopped mashing ht pellets all together and mixing little pellets and as small amount of bloodworms. After about 2-3 weeks they were all on pellets!! Smashing the top of the water and making a mess all over my basement floor!!! GL
