Well...I decided that "Large" frozen mice aren't large enough. I haven't been able to find any frozen rats. Do they even sell frozen rats? Here's a video of Mbenga eating a mouse. This should show how a "Large" mouse isn't satisfying to Mbenga anymore.

Yeah they do sell large frozen rats, atleast where I am from in the bay area.

I suppose a live large rat would fill him, but I'm not sure if you are willing to do that.

In my experience you can get anything frozen. He can def eat something bigger, or you could feed a few large mice? I would think a small rat would be fine as well. Not sure what kind of shops you have around, but as a last resort petco sells them and you can mailorder.

Awesome vid. Well, just buy a live rat, and wack it before you feet it to Mbenga! :D

I admit that I don't like feeding live cute fuzzy animals or killing them myself, so I rather let someone else do the dirty work so I can just feed him. Anyone know of any place in SoCal around the LA Area that sells them? How much do they usually go for?

PetSmart carries them

im pretty sure there are frozen rats. awesome vid, and awesome frog! :)

I have bought from these guys and highly recommend them…

If you compare the price per gram, mice are cheaper than rats…

They do require buying in bulk (quantities of 50 per item) and have free shipping on orders of $100 or more… But everything is so darn cheap it’s hard to get $100 worth.

I split an order with a local friend and for $55 I’ve got a bag of frozen mice bigger than a basketball… Should be about a years worth for my Tegu…

25~35 gram ‘Large Hairless Mice’ are only a quarter each…
