Have anyone tried to put a fly river turtle with blood parrots in a planted tank? I remembering the 2 blood parrots I had ate this small plant in my tank. What about moss though? Would blood parrots eat those being attached to a driftwood? Anyone has success with either combo of the turtle and parrots in a planted tank either with plants or moss?

Java ferns and Anubias will be fine. As for the FRT, it might decide to eat the blood parrots so basically trial and error.

Eat the blood parrots? Are you sure? The blood parrots are like 6-7" long.
The possibility is still there. Turtles in general won't mix well with fish.

FRT's tend to fare better with fish than most other turtles, ive seen them being kept with denosini barbs and clown loaches but lupin is right you will never know until you put them together.

....obviously neither lupin or the england guy owned a FRT...but yes u can mix them as long as your tank is large enough and enough filtration. I'm about to my FRT with my blood parrot, electric blue jack dempsey, buncha clown laoches, frontosas, ruby reds, etc.

there is no possibility. FRT cannot eat a 7'' Parrot Fish. unless the FRT is fully grown there is a possibility..but still as a full grown turtle i dont think it can eat a 7'' fish. Mos FRT's will only eat wat can fit in their mouth.

its like you are asking if when are you gonna be bumped by a 10 wheeler truck when you're crossing the streets everyday :D just kiddin

Well its fun to see a turrtle and a fish swiimin along but if you are somewhat concerned about life (any):) well never trust a turtle, aquatic turtles needs more protien in their diet than the ones on land

It could be kinda risky. But I don't think the FRT would be able to fit a 7'' Parrot in his mouth.
