What could i find at pet stores that would be good and healthy for Frt's, i mean like in pellet form that would sink and also has to be safe for its tank mates (other fishes) to eat just in case they do. I do not want to feed vegetables or fruits because im afraid it might spoil the water if left in too long.
So is there any type of Pellet food for Frt's that would have all those good and healthy ingredients in it with Low or no protien in it to stop the shell curl from getting worse?? Please let me know.... thanks ahead!
Im currently feeding it shrimp pellets, fish pellets, algae wafers, and occasionally raw shrimp.

Sorry but that just makes part of the deal when you have a frt, they need fresh fibers in order to trive:)

If your tutle shell is already curling:eek:, then he desperatly needs calcium in its bonnes. For that to happen you need to feed him calcium rich foods and have uvb ligth. That includes dark leafy vegetables ,calcium rich fruits like papaya and wolle small fish(for human consuption, not feeder fish)
Im currently feeding it shrimp pellets, fish pellets, algae wafers, and occasionally raw shrimp.
That splains all, your turtle is seriously lacking fiber and calcium in its diet. The only pellet I think it can help is Mazuri tortoise diet. But again they need their greens in order to trive:)

im feeding it hikari carnivore pellets, kiwi, spinach, carrots, etc...

wat else should i feed my FRT?

Seliki, no spinach to your turtle and restrict carrot. Carnivore pellets only every now and then. For good food options go see one of the many posts Ive already made about that subject, all you need to know is there;)
As for ligth try to find one of the Zoomeds flurescent 5.0 ligths. I use both Reptisun and Iguana ligth:D

Mine loves those sinking pleco pelletes...eats them by the shovel.

also likes a kiwi and an apple, now and then, but you must pay atention it doesn't stay long in the water ( the fruit, I mean )

Mine also loves fish, regrettably, as all other animal protein it happens to catch....

so jus feeding it kiwi/apple/banana etc is a good enough diet? maybe lettuce here n there...

anyway miguel do u use a UV light for your Fly river?? i was thinking of buying a reptisun 5.0 bulb and putting it in my aquarium light. that'll work right?

or...buying one of those UV light that you put upside down on...like those for tortosie n whatnot.. if i place one of that on top of an acrylic tank will it burn the acrylic?

i use UV in my tanks, but for parasite treatment
