frt :(

My frt has 3 rather large scrapes on his shell.
one of which you can tell is bleeding, or was. its just red now.

I dont really have anything in the tank that could do this to him fish wise, but I do have a peice of drfitwood hes always hiding under, i was thinking maybe it fell on him.

either way, whats the best method of treating his scrapes. my water is pristine, as I do w/c's enough to make any fish happy. But i just dont want an infection happening.

Just from my experience, my FRT "fly" around their aquarium, bang into things, scrape themselves every once in awhile. They heal up on their own.

I have never used neosporin on the FRTs but have on my other turtles and it works good.

Good luck on his scrapes. I think he will be fine, just keep an eye on the scrapes.
