You know how kids are Liz, they reach that certain age and BAM they want nothing to do with you.:irked:

Thats really weird, i cant imagine why it would do that, have you checked your water perameters. (IM SURE THEIR GOOD JUST A THOUGHT) i hope he changes back, i love my clown knife.

What's your feeding schedule like? Maybe try starving it a bit and throw in something other than Silversides as a first meal after starving. My old CK was like this. He was always active and then started hiding one day for about 3 months. I decided to let it go without food for a couple of weeks and he was back to normal after that.

Same thing happened to my CK. Before when it was at 7"-15" it would go infront of the tank and beg for food. Once the food drops the splashing start. It would eat from the top of the water or the bottom. Now at 21" it's always hiding and will only come out for feeding time. Not only that he's no longer the aggressive feeder just like before. It will only eat a few and goes back to hiding. Not sure why maybe all adult knife are like these or maybe they need a partner to breed. Not really sure.

yes there is definitly a personality change.. i just went to super market and bought him a few fresh shrimp...talapia and cod filet and a catfish filet.. i put a few pieces of the talapia and shrimp in his cave.. i will see later if it is gone.. last i saw the big pleco was enjoying one of the shrimps.. glad to hear this is somewhat normal for these big clowns.. although it is sad in away.. because he makes that tank come alive with his majestic beauty .. now kind of boring with just a couple severums and a few angels.. but i would never under any circumstances...well unless it was life or death go back to live food... that would mean no body in the tank would be safe again,... i want him to stay non aggressive just show himself.. i miss him:( thanks everyone for replys.. you have all helped alot.. at least i realize they can get moody.. all water perimeters are excellent.. its just him..
