Frustrated with my RD

So when in a community setting he was aggressive but now solo he is a hider.... Sounds like he needs a few target fish in there with him like some convicts.

Also what is the traffic like in front of this tank compared to where the community was located? Sometimes if fish get put into a low traffic are they freak out when anyone walks by, but if used to high traffic they are out all the time.

Ime, a few tinfoil barbs will keep him busy for awhile. People say silver dollars are the perfect dither, but it's hard to come by sd that are big enough to not be eaten outright. Lfs get big tinfoils traded in all the time and they always work great for me if your monster needs a good chase. I'd be interested to try the catfish idea tho. Maybe I'll try it myself when my jags get bigger.

make a clear divider and get a female or two and introduce them slowly... once you get fry he'll go nuts!

DMD I never thought of that! The solo tank is in my room and the community is in the living room. And i'll try out all of these things, they're all worth a shot! Thanks everyone
