every time i look up how to feed fry i get a "what to feed fry" sure every1 wants me to buy their product but im not going to untill i know how the process is acheived. too bad i cant mix it in a bottle like formula and give it to them. can any1 help on what product they use AND how to use it?

also, my convicts have eggs they will probly hatch same time as my devils. when the fry are free swimming can they be in the same fry tank i have set up for them?

I use baby brinbe shrimp on my fry which is proberly the best food for them for the first few weeks. you could try hikari first bites, i use this and flake crushed up when their around 1month.

for the 2nd question, i tried to do this it work ok, but i found one species would thrive alot more and alot more died.........

I feed mine baby brine shrimp. Clean up any uneaten shrimp everyday. You can try looking up how to raise cichlid fry and you will find lots of great tips. For your second question. Once the fry have been free swimming for about 2 weeks you will need to separate although I usually separate sooner

ok ty for the help. so i set up a 10 gal for the fry when their free swimming. i also bought a big tube of brine shrimp and read up about them. will have a new batch for them to eat each day untill they are free swimming then i will put them in the 10 gal. as for the con's fry, i think t hey will be fine with the parents for a while but if i see any get eaten they'll go in with the RD. btw my RD only breeds when i put my female FH in with them so they could be hybrid. i heard that FH's with 2 genes of red usualy colour out sooner and alot more red. is it possible some of the con fry's would pair off with a FH/RD fry? if so i might get another tank for them set up. i know alot of you hate hybrids but i will only keep 1 male hybrid and 1 femal con (if they pair)

For my jags i used is fry liquid, till they were big enough for the fisrt bites now i just feed them flakes, frozen blood worms , and shrimp pellets

You can get some snails to eat the fallen food. I have had success with first bites (I had about 100 betta fry), but then I found some frozen newly hatched artemia at my lfs and have used this ever since.
