just a quick question

i need to divide a tank into two sections for a breeding project, one half parants to provide their care and the other half for the growout stage

the problem is i dont want the free swimming fry to be able to move from the first section to the second and get eaten by fish already in growout.

so i need to design a fry proof tank divider that will allow water to pass through but not fry.

i was thinking of stretching a pair of tights over a tank divider? but i was wondering if anyone had done this kind thing before?

With thanks
Matt

get a piece of plexi glass and cut it to size then cut a big square in the middle then take window mesh and cover the hole
bam, done

tiny fry from fish like anabantoids might be small enough to pass through the holes in a window screen. most fry would be two large once free-swimming. maybe just keep the screened opening a couple inches off the substrate so tiny wigglers don't wander through the screen. hth
