best thing you can do is take out the UG filter... old style filtering, use either sponge filters or HOB ( hang on back ) filters...

I don't see anything about him having ugf.

yeah i don't have an UGF... it's HOB, and i know i should have a sponge on it, but it's not seeming to affect them, they swim right past it... i think it's all the plants i have around it kinda breaks the pressure... but either way, a HOB wouldn't be causing them to get stuck under the gravel... but thanks for the suggestion.
