Fry sucked into filter intake

What do you guys use to keep fry from getting sucked into the filter intake? Filter is a Penguin 200.

i put a piece of filter pad around it. works but you get loada crap stuck to the filter pad.

Do not reduce the flow of your filters. A fry tank dedicated to fry and a sponge filter yield the best results.

or fit a piece of pantyhose over the intake

my parents friend got a milk crate and lined it with a fine mesh so the fry didnt escape and have horrible things happen to them.

I'm not too familiar with a 200. If the intake tube is the standard circumference I prefer to use a sponge pre filter, with a lego or marble blocking the other end of the hole in the pre filter. Which is basically a tubular shaped sponge.

I have a dedicated fry/baby tank and i have a foam filter that runs off a simple air pump, and i've had no problems with my fry..
