fry temp?

What temp. should angelfish be kept at? Thanks.

I usually keep my rearing tanks at about 78-80 degrees with no ill effects.

For fry and young I like it a little warmer as they grow quicker, around 82 F. angels are very heat tolerant and will survive in temps as high as mid 90s

I keep all my fish at about 78, except natives. Rarely have a problem with disease in a tropical tank.

I'm keeping them at 82ish or 84ish. I have heard that when you keep angels in warmer water, it shortens their life span because it speeds up their metablism. Any thoughts on that?

I believe that is true but they grow much faster as well, once they are aduls sized you can slowly drop the temp if you want.

Sounds good. The crazy thing is that they are upstairs, and the air temp. was 80 degrees this morning......
