well i think the divider wouldn't be a bad idea. i was a little nervious at first when i did it to my 150 but i really worked out good. i put the divider under ine of the lid supports on the top. igot my texas on the smaller side and my buttikofferi, midas, JD, pleco, festae, and ali gar in the big side. i had to custom make the divider though cauz they dont make one for a 150 gal. if u really cant live w\o him then i feel its the best way to go.
