Description:
Hi MFK,

Selling my pristine 1100 gallon aquarium set up.

The size and quality rivals that of a public aquarium. This tank cost 40k new to build, not including the life support systems, aquascaping/decor, lighting, and other auxiliary tanks/reservoirs. The aquarium is currently running with livestock, which can be included in the sale or I can rehome them.

Here are the details:

10'8" long x 48" wide x 40" tall, 1.5" thick sides, 1" top and bottom panel.

Triangular internal overflows, with plumbing intakes and returns. Overflows are filled with bio balls.

(2) 300g sumps with Japanese mats, and two magnetic drive return pumps

Submersible heaters (in sump) with thermostat

(2) Fluval FX-5 fiters, plus an additional FX-5 and replacement parts.

55 Watt Ultraviolet Sterilizer

ALL Plumbing is threaded or uses ball unions so it can immediately be set up. This is HUGE time and money saver.

Commercial Air Pump, with battery backup

LED lighting system

Steel stand with covers that use magnets for easy removal.

168g Acrylic Refugium and stand, growing pothos for nitrate reduction, and to house small, or injured fish.

275g Plastic reservoir tote with dosing and exchange pumps for water changes or drip system.

Wifi monitor that will text and email if the power goes out, the water level is too low, or a leak detected.

Ceramic-tiled bottom and back panels.

Showpiece, free-standing driftwood, with river rocks and artificial plants.

A bunch of supplies such as cleaning tools, water conditioners, meds, test kits, additional decor, plumbing parts, pumps, tubing, etc. Way too much to list.

This tank has been documented on my youtube channel and has in-depth information about the life support systems, back up systems, and general setup. Here are some links:

Moving it is going to cost upwards of $1000, and needs to be done professionally with a forklift. I can refer you to the company that moved this tank.

This is in a different level of aquarium and fish keeping and is a one-of-a-kind enclosure for the serious/dedicated hobbyist. I am not in a rush to sell, and am looking for the perfect buyer to enjoy this tank as much as I have. Serious inquiries only, please.

Thanks all. I’m planning to move abroad in the next year or so, but will be back in the hobby for sure.
