So how does that PVC in the tank work? I've never used sumps before but I'm interested in this setup.

What do you think about me keeping this size tank upstairs? Too heavy?

its basically just an overflow made with pvc that goes all the way down to the bottom of the tank and curves back up. it the same one as on the diy pvc overflow sticky, but i do think it'll be too heavy for upper level as the tank is glass and its heavy.
