I've seen your ad on craigslist before, im from sacramento.

I am interested in getting him, but i really wanted one that was just a little bit smaller.. Since i only have a 125 tank right now with quite a few others.

he has grown from about 6 inches to 20 in the last 11 months. Even if you got a smaller one he would be 20 inches in no time. From what I have read, aros are supposed to slow down the growth rate at this point. What are the dimensions of your tank?

It is a basic 125, 6'x2'x18"? Dont really have exact measurements right now

Problem is, my tank is stocked with
1 rtc 8-9 inch (grew from 2 inch to 8 in past... 2-3 months)
1 tiger shovelnose cat 7 inch
1 pike 8-9 inch
1 striped umm something.. Its a cichlid, 6-7 inch
1 red devil 4-5 inch
1 flowerhorn 4 inch
1 severum 3 inch
1 green terror 4-5 inch
2 bichir 8-10 inch
...

It's probably over stocked already... If i do want to add an aro that big i might need to take out half my stock for overstocking and for fear of smaller fishes getting eaten by that aro

Those catfish should get pretty big. What type of bichirs do you have?

I think anything 4 inches or less might be in trouble. He is currently housed with a 6 inch green terror who goes after the aro sometimes, but backs down when he realizes how big he is. There are also several bichirs ranging from 6 - 12 inches and he doenst seem to know they exist. His nemesis is the red tail giant grouami and he seems determined to destroy him.

Lol

Oh also forgot to mention i have a barred midas about 8 inch too.,
I have 2 endli bichirs.
The cats i plan on growing them until i cant keep them anymore then sell or replace at lfs for a smaller one :)

I made a noobie mistake before by buying a 6 inh aro. After 2 days it dies with 1 missing eyeball. So i am aiming for a bigger aro that they cant pick on, but not too big where it'll pick on them too.
I really want to get yours, i do.... Im thinking about. Real hard xD

If i do buy that guy, it'll probably last only a year or so in my tank... Thats why i aim for a little smaller so hopefully i can keep it longer. But i am planning on upgrading soon... Only for another 6 footer though, any bigger and its too much for my house
