Honestly they are almost impossible to even give away. Not many people have tanks that can handle them and most public aquariums aren't even accepting them any more.

ive seen owners offering cash to anyone willing to take their pacu, and in that case it still took a long time for them to get rid of it

I really don't understand how people can be so ignorant and irresponsible as to attain pets that they are not capable of caring for.

If you live in an inner-city apt, you don't get a pet pony. If you have a 55 gallon tank you don't get a pet pacu.

The problem is that most people either don't research the fish first, or (like me), they do research them and get false information.
