He doesn't know if they are wild but it doesn't matter.

Anyone can call any fish wild all the have to do is lie. In fact I know of some well known fish people before selling farm bred fish as wild. (Don't ask me I wont say who)

So look with your eyes and if a fish looks good and you like it, then that's all that matters.
